Ya-Hui is the founder of Light Poetic International, Australia, and the assistant professor of CYCU in Taiwan.
Ya-Hui has a background in Interior Design and was Senior Lighting Designer with The Flaming beacon in Australia for over 10 years. She holds an undergraduate degree in Interior Design from CYCU in Taiwan, a daylighting design postgraduate qualification from KTH in Sweden and a master’s degree in Architectural Lighting Design from Hochschule Wismar in Germany.
Ya-Hui is well-versed on the interaction between daylighting and artificial lighting design. She has run and designed projects of various scales from luxury resort hotels to high-end residential and boutique shops in China, Indonesia, Korea, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Dubai and France.
Ya-Hui is well travelled internationally, with a strong cultural sensitivity in design. Her works are inspired by the light in nature, the authenticity of culture and the spirit of the space.
Ya-Hui’s career highlights include:
2015 Invited to speak at PLDC Professional Lighting Design Conference in
Rome, Italy.
2016 Received the prestigious IALD international lighting design award.
2017 Received both IES international illumination award of Merit and
Excellence in USA.
2018 Presented a paper on hospitality lighting at PLDC Professional Lighting
Design Conference in Singapore.
2022 Received LIT award - Winner of Residential Lighting
2023 Received IES international illumination award of Merit

Recently, Ya-Hui has been actively involved in the judging panels of several internationally renowned lighting design awards, including the IALD, IES IA, darc, and WIL awards.
Ya-Hui is a professional member of the International Lighting Design Association (IALD), Illumination Engineering Society (IES) and International Certified Lighting Designer (CLD).

雅慧是澳洲 Light Poetic International 的創始人也是執影照明設計的設計總監，
中原大學室內設計系的照明學的助理教授。
雅慧原本是一名室內設計師，後來成為資深照明設計師並在澳洲 The Flaming Beacon 工作十多年。她擁有台灣中原大學的室內設計學士學位，瑞典KTH的日光設計學士後學位和德國 Hochschule Wismar 的建築照明設計碩士學位。她的畢業論文以研究自然光為主，因此對於自然光與人造光之間的交互影響，有深入的體驗與研究。
而她參與的照明設計，包含各種不同規模與形式的空間，主要以頂級度假酒店，高端住宅和精品店燈光設計為主，案例遍及了中國，印尼，韓國，澳門，馬來西亞，新加坡，台灣，泰國，迪拜和法國等地。她經常旅行世界各地，對設計有很強的敏銳度。她的作品往往受到自然環境中的光線、不同地區的文化以及空間本身傳遞的精神啟發。
2015年 應邀在義大利羅馬舉行的PLDC專業照明設計大會上發表演講。
2016年 榮獲IALD國際照明設計優秀獎。
2017年 IES國際照明優秀獎，這是該獎項的最高榮譽之一。
2018年 應邀在新加坡的PLDC專業照明設計大會上發表探討酒店照明設計。
2019年 AL design Award Commendable Achievement , Peacock Room.
